Although our paths have not crossed for years, I remember Robert as one of my first playmates when I was about 3 years old. At the time we were neighbours in Doak Settlement just outside Fredericton. We have a photo of me and my sister, Shirley, who was 1 year old, in front of our house with Robert or his brother, Douglass, or both of them. I was during the winter of 1945 or 46. About fifteen years later we were neighbours again in Ward Settlement which is just outside Stanley, N.B. We were teammates on the Stanley High School softball team. Shirley and I extend our deepest sympathies for your loss.
