Jacinta so very sorry to hear of the passing of your husband Reg. My sympathy to you and your girls. Keeping you in my prayers. Those childhood friendships of Kelly's Cross last forever --take care.

Reg, l met him for the first time at Dooley's on the Avenue, my first time there, l sat beside him at the bar, found him to be a bit gruff and stand offish. There was something though that interested me about him, it took awhile (a few more visits to the bar) but it became evident that he was quite intelligent and sincere, the things he cared about he really cared about. It wasn't very long before we started to become friends and not just casual friends but real friends. Before l ever met the members of his family l felt that l already knew them, he was passionate about his love for his family. I was always amazed at the way his former students held him in reverence when they bumped into him, they still, even when adults themselves, called him Sir. Reg in his teaching career was instrumental in effecting hundreds of lives in positive ways. I feel honored to have met and called him my friend.
