To Beryl and family, deepest sympathy on your loss. Alan was an extension of our family in Lunenburg, he even referred to our parents as Mom and Pop. Al and my father were both “old boys” from KCS and during Al’s days at KCS he was always testing fathers track and field records, many of which still stood during Al’s years there. I remember Al reflecting on being taken by Dad to the Nova Scotia Professional Guides meets at Jake’s Landing, now part of Keji Nat.
