Hello Family: Some of you will know me, and some will not. However, the Howell Family and my parents Ches and Sylvia Pye have been friends for many, many years. Back in my childhood, we had many visits with Gladys'Mother, whom we called Aunt Bea, all of our lives. I well remember Johnny (Day Howell) sitting by his radio as we played on the floor. So many memories. We knew the whole family, and will never forget them. Years later, when I used to travel around with friends in a car, we often visited Gladys and Kenny in Sheffield Mills, and then, of course, Gladys after Kenny was gone. I remember her children when they were very small, and also 'Betty-Lou", so named by Grandpa "Johnny", sitting in a playpen! (Guess I'm showing my age) ! Also in 2009 and 2010, I had the pleasure of spending a weekend each year with Gladys. We enjoyed each other so much, and I also got to visit with Dot on, what I think, was her last visit home! I then got to see Gladys''little children'- all grown up!! It is, indeed, the 'End of an Age', but we Praise God that she is in his keeping!! Love and Prayers to you all!!
