Bettina Bake

I am so very sorry for your loss.
Years ago when I first met Bettina, she scared me silly, so gracious, so groomed, so international and beautifully dressed. I Felt like a very large unmade bed.
Over time her deep compassion and open nature made me realize, how skewed my vision was. Every time I saw her she had this huge smile, she made me (and, I think many people) feel, that while the party or gathering…. was lovely, it was better now you were there.
When we celebrated Dad’s life, she was feeling very unwell and your lovely father leapt into the breach, Willem passed food, recharged plates, fetched drinks and constantly reassured me.
I know that was part of the Bake team.
What a lovely heritage.
