I arrived at UW in 1974 as a faculty member in HKLS (now Faculty of Applied Health Sciences) and one of the warmest welcomes I had was from Carl. I was quite involves in squash at the time and ran into his buddies Paul Condon and Wally every noon hour. Carl was one of the few people I ever met in my life where there was never a bad word. Carl was the lifeblood of Athletics for so many years and we will miss him dearly. Respectfully,
