I first met Alasdair when he an Anne married and travelled from Australia to the UK and then on up to Scotland to meet Alasdair's family. It was the start of a very long friendship which has lasted for 56 years and has left me with so many happy memories of the time we spent with Alasdair and particularly when he drove all the way to Calgary in heavy snow to collect us from the airport and drive us back to Nelson! So many memories of Alasdair, he was a wonderful family man who we will never forget.

So happy to have known Alistair, my sympathies goes out to all the family.
