Westlake

I didn't know Bruce personally but had hoped to be able to connect with him when his beloved cat Gawain came to live with me in 2018, after Bruce moved to the nursing home. I wanted to thank him & let him know how much I enjoyed having Gawain, who eventually (with the help of my cat Sadie) came to fit into our household very well. I called him my 'Gentle Giant'- he was a very large cat - & came to love him very much. We spent 5 good years together but sadly, Gawain passed away suddenly from a heart attack on July 8. I miss him terribly but comfort myself by imagining he is now re-united with Bruce. Indeed, I suspect that Bruce, on reaching the next stage of his journey, asked for his cat back - the coincidence of their passing within a few weeks of each other is not lost on me! Happy eternity together! I offer by sincerest condolences to all the Westlake family. Heather Matthews
