I remember, at seven years old, walking home from the Meadowville school with Frankie, six years old. We decided to light some fires in the woods. Gordon came along a little later, saw the smoke and came in to us and offered a few words. I can tell you, I have never done that since. At three years older than me, he spoke with authority. I have admired him ever since as a wise and caring man. My deep sympathy to Frank and all members of the family.
