I am unsure how I stumbled upon this sad news tonight but part of me is happy that I did and I am partly sad. I remember being in elementary school competing against Brett. No matter the sport we played, I always wished he was on my team. Later I had the luxury of going to Junior and Senior high school with Brett and being a friend and team mate. I think the only thing better that his athleticism was his infectious smile. He was a wonderful person to be around. A few years later, I remember discussing our training for the Canada Games... I was working out daily to make the team... I think he just went and jumped...bronze! I was so envious of his abilities.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. He will be missed.

So sorry of your loss to all the family. My sincere condolences. Remembering Brett from track and field and hanging around alot with my brothers Tim and nick. He will always be remembered and not forgotten as such lovely person. God bless.
