Johnny was a major influence to me and everyone else who benefited from his amazing energy and musical talents and teaching as music director for the Sertomanaires. I was there from the start and remember the drum corps days as some of the best parts of my teens. The Sertomanaires were known for our outstanding horn line and unique big band sound, all due to the talented Johnny Bond.

So very sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was a great friend and supporter of the Lambton County Music Festival. We enjoyed his attending the School Band competitions to present the John and Helen Bond Trophy. The music community will miss him
