To Bev, the love of Darren’s life, Dylan, Daryl, Lorna, Kim, Laurie & those who were fortunate enough to know & love Darren my deepest heartfelt sympathies go out to you. Darren attended Esquimalt High School in 1982/83 for grade 12 & many took to him right away, especially the jocks. Some of us refered to him as “DB” (short for Dirtbag) . He was & remains one of the most sensitive & thoughtful people that I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting & being a good friend w/. I feel very fortune to have had the time that I did in his company & @ the rink. Upon learning of his untimely crossing I was met w/ much sadness, @ the same time a sense of relief washed over as I knew in my ❤️ that after over 20 years Darren had found peace. Once again he is in his beloved Dustin’s presence, they are close & safe, their world complete & void of any & all pain.
