Elsie was so kind hearted to the young, to the old and all of the rest in between. I remember one day I was at Elmview Cemetery in Kars and I needed more water for the plants, so I was just going to go home and fill my containers, and Elsie said no come with me I have key to the church and we will get water. I appreciated her thoughtfulness. That was Elsie! We have lost another pillar in our community and church. My sincere sympathy to all the family. Ruth Morrison

Such a wonderfully kind lady who invented multi-tasking as she baked and cooked while childminding and then went out to milk the cows after a long, hard day on the farm. She opened her arms to all and no one left the home without being fortified with food and drink, even those who had just dropped by unexpectedly. A strong woman with a great sense of humor and a competitive nature when playing Euchre or some other game. Elsie was a wonderful mother-in-law and grandmother. She will be sorely missed. Rest in peace Elsie.
