John you were like a brother to me. I remember when you got your license and picked me up in that green car in your favorite brown leather bomber jacket. I can see you now hands in pocket on my doorstep. We went on to get a few more people.
The memories are so many. I remember when you said
"I need to meet this Al guy, your not marrying him without me knowing & checking him out first", you approved and became friends. My kids loved you so much literally from the day they were born. I will be there like you asked for Janis & the girls ❤️

Saddened to hear about John’s death. Decades ago when we were in our teens, my parents made the annual trip from Toronto to see mom’s favourite cousin, Uncle Hector. But I was there to see John. We would Just sit back and let him entertain us. He was funny, energetic and told the best stories. Perfectly paired with his sister who’d keep the peace when the guys got too unruly.
