It saddened me to hear the news of my Uncle Paul's passing; he was an important part of my life for almost 70 years. Others knew him as a father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He had a sparkle in his eyes, a sense of adventure which was the source of many stories he related to me. He was a consummate story teller along with a great sense of humour. A man of many passions, love of family and friends, diy guy, photographer, bird watcher and a life long passion to help others. I vaguely recall his anecdotes about Great Uncle Martin. There were many stories which I was fortunate to be part of some of them; fishing at Rice Lake, Aunt Irene's cottage at Wasaga Beach, along with the times we spent in Grand Bend with the Hoyles family, memories I cherish. He loved and was loved. I will miss our conversations and his stories. He lived his life to the fullest. I raise a glass to toast him..a life well done!
