Father Keith was associate Pastor at St Michaels when we were pregnant for our first child ! We enjoyed him and his teachings so so much!! He was such a smart man!
We would invite him for supper and while I was doing the dishes, David would pick Father Keith's Theology!!
At 16 weeks pregnant I had a blood test done and it resulted in a strong positive for Dowm Syndrome! The Dr. Is no longer around here! He wanted me to see a Dr. Friend of his in Moncton for abortion ! I said definately not! We would take what God gave us!
The next day my husband was working nights! I had been praying for the baby all day asking God to Please give me a sign that the baby was alright! I decided to go to church that night and Father Keith was the priest!!
On the way out in the entrance way I stopped to tell Father Keith how wonderful his Homily ! I was shaking his hand and he leaned in and kissed my cheek! I automatically got shivers all over my body! It was my sigh from GOD that the baby was ok ! I did not say anything to Father Neilson at the time as there were many people after me!
I lived through the next few months knowing that Father Keith's kiss was my sigh from God !!! Six months later our beautiful baby Emily was born very Healthy!
I made a point to call Father Keith and explain the whole situation and I thanked him for that kiss! He thanked and thanked me! He told me that he had no idea why he kissed me that day but something told him to do it!!! It was The Holy Spirit!!! Father Keith was so happy because he never knew why he kissed me and this clarified the situation for both of us! He could have been Jesus Christ standing in front of me that day!
We were blessed to have Father Keith Baptize our little Emily in the weeks to come. He was a true asset to his profession and we are broken hearted that he was called by Our Father so soon! The world has suffered a tremendous LOSS!
