Henry was my Uncle on my Mother's side....he was one of my favourites....he and Uncle Ernie..
his brother. I can remember him from a very early age when the family lived near us in Roblin, Manitoba. Henry was always quick-witted and liked to tease. In later years I remember him coming to our house with his dad, my grandpa Friesen and Uncle Ernie to
go deer-hunting with my dad and brothers.
They never came back empy-handed, and we shared many a liver and onions supper with them and enjoyed the long hours of story telling afterwards. Uncle Henry also played at my wedding in 1969, he was very talented at a lot of things, music, metalwork, hunting, trapping,
and sometimes if you weren't too sure about what he was telling you.....a good line of BS!!!
served up with an "I gotcha!" I was quite "plump" as a young girl, and never knew what he really meant when he asked me " if I had a license for that trailer behind me"....like I said he liked to tease. He always made you feel welcome when you came to visit...and cared about what you had to say. I will miss him dearly, as will all who knew him.
Our deepest sympathies to Blanch, Wayne, Donald, Brian, and Yvonne...and Florence.
