Lea and I were born just 4 months apart. I was Lea’s Aunt and she was my niece. Her father Rupert was my half brother and her mother Margaret Russell was the best friend of my mother Margaret Beasley. My father, Lea’s Grandfather married twice. Dad’s first wife was Alice. Together, they had Ivy Arlene, Leonard Archer, Herbert Hayes, Rupert (Lea’s father) and Shirley. My dad’s second wife was my mother (Margaret Beasley) . Together my mom and dad had (me) Caroline, Paul and Margaret. Believe it or not, all of the children from both of my father’s wives knew each other very well and had many family gatherings together. I even knew And played with all of the children of my half brother’s. Lea and I had a closer bond because of our mother’s friendship. I missed being with Lea in later years. All of us had our own families and just kind of drifted away away from each other. I know that Lea had 1 son but I never did meet him. Lea’s brother Christopher predeceased her by a few years and now that whole family if deceased as many of this large family had. I think of Lea of then and miss her.
