I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss Sam dearly.

He was a wonderful and caring husband, father and grandfather.

My sincere sympathies to Nancy, Lisa and Sean.

I came to know Sam as the landlord for my parents, the Bitners, who left the farm for apartment living. I say "landlord" but Sam was so much more! With his friendly, teasing ways, he eased the difficult transition for them.

Being the handy, skilled man that he was, he created a sunny, beautiful apartment building that my parents were proud to live in. Being the thoughtful person that he was, he also made alterations to their unit that made life easier for an elderly couple.

As busy as he was, he never failed to stop in for a quick visit or cup of coffee, which they so looked forward to. For my mother, it became an expectation!!

Our thoughts are with the family. How proud you must be of a life well lived.
