I am at a loss here on what to say.

I knew Cheryl as a young kid. We ran, we climbed trees, we explored. I would visit my Grandma Bauer in Grenfell in the summer and she and would be joined at the hip the entire time. I loved her for that.

Time passed and we lost touch, I was seriously injured in a car accident in 1985 and even though we had lost contact over the years I remember waking up one day in the intensive care unit and she was standing there at the foot of my bed. She stayed for a week, holding my hand and assuring me that I was going to be ok. I loved her for that.

After that, we never talked again, we both went on to live our own lives and I can only hope that she did indeed live hers to the fullest. Knowing her the way that I did I am sure that she did.

To her family, her friends and her loved ones I send to you all my deepest and heartfelt sympathies.

I hate using the term "Rest in Peace", for myself personally, we I pass on (as we all will one day) , the last thing I want is to "Rest". So instead Cheryl, may I say to you where ever you are, "Run like the wind, ride those wild ponies, climb those trees and please know that you had a great impact on my life". I loved you for that.

Peace

Dan Bauer
