Kankkonen

My name is Riitta Kauppinen, my mother`s name is Maiju Peltoniemi (Kankkonen) and she is a daughter of Vilho Kankkonen. Maila was wife of Vilho`s brother, Veikko.

Maila was my aunt, here in Finland are many relatives who knew her and expecially her sister Pirkko, who kept contact to Maila all the time, so we other relatives heard from Pirkko, how was Mailas life. Her only son Tapio passed away too last summer, we all hope that they may sleep in peace. Maila went to Canada y 1957, and visited here 1980-century, all the time she talked about coming back to Finland, but it never happened...so we have only memories of her, but very beautiful memories..
