Sharpe

I was really saddened by the news of the passing of Lloyd Sharpe, but it also brought back pleasant memories. I was a neighbor of Lloyd and for a number of years we met almost every morning walking with our favorite friends. He was with Casey, a golden retriever and I was with Satchmo a German shepherd. They were great friends and enjoyed engaging in noisy but harmless play fights which occasionally alarmed other people on their morning walks. We both were crazy about our dogs and were always eager to meet up, rain or shine, summer or winter. Lloyd always talked lovingly about his family and especially about "the little one" - his granddaughter. Today I will take my latest companion "Sophie" for a walk around the block and tell her about our friends: Lloyd and Casey.
