I’m deeply moved by the passing of Ron, we knew each other for years in the old neighbourhood. We would meet regularly for casual chats, covering most any subject, it didn’t matter, just enjoying the day. The one topic he liked to return to was how much he adored his wife and children, on that he happily gave details. It doesn’t seem long since our last meeting yet three years have past, it feels more like a few weeks ago. During all those years I never once saw Ron in a bad mood, he was always upbeat, always positive, always made a point of asking how I was doing. It was at this time of year that we most often stood outside and chatted, or at least that’s the way it seems, sunny happy days. His passing weighs on me heavily.
