I knew Wendell from summers at Victoria. Long-time residents of Montreal we shared stories of life there and activities associated with theatre there. our sharing also included his garden! Wendell's garden was a work of art too and he generously let me pick masses of blooms there while we chatted and discussed village life and beyond.
The design for the garden of plants, flowers and shrubs that surround the Victoria Playhouse will be a fitting memorial to his talents and his love of the village.
