Carl Macfarlane was on of the most influential persons in my life as a young man and a young father. Carl was a man of honour and principal. He worked hard, cared hard and had a profound respect for farming and farmers. I spent countless hours with Carl and unbeknownst to Carl he was a great teacher of many things. As I aspired to be a good husband, father and police officer his wisdom and experience in life offered me many lessons. Carl and Lorna were both of great comfort to me my wife and our three daughters over the few years we lived in Scotchtown away from our families, they were the segregate grandparents to my children, great friends and great people. Carl we will miss you.

Carle, you will always be fondly remembered by your many neighbours and good friends over all the years. You were alway the first to offer a kind word and a smile. Bless you on your final journey.
