My association with John was being a fellow-committee member of the former Club The Netherlands in St. Catharines. John was also my predecessor playing in the role of Sinterklaas for the Club - for the children in the afternoon and for the ‘grown-ups’ in the evening. They were fun times with lots of good memories to many.
To Evelyn and all the Vanderzalms my sympathies and we no doubt will remember John as a friendly and kind individual. Be at peace.
