I'll always have fond memories of Vern. His quick smile and positive attitude always cheered me up, I always made time for a coffee with him after an inspection. Everyone he worked with will miss him.

Vern was a great mentor to me when I was a young man starting my career, we worked very closely together for many years and became very good friends. We will miss Vern immencely!
