Westendorp

To the Westendorp family,
A group of us from Tavistock Public School have been reminiscing about Mr. Westendorp on Facebook all morning. We all carry with us such fond Gr. 4 memories of him – how he took us all home to dinner with your family that year, the love of musical theatre he instilled in us through school musicals and how he taught us to say “may I”, not “can I.” (And there’s not one of us who isn’t a wizard at multiplication because of his drills.) I’ve thought of him many times in my adult life – including last summer as I sat and watched HMS Pinafore at Stratford. (He directed us in it so many years ago.) On behalf of the graduating class of ’84, we are so sorry to hear of his passing and hope that you find some comfort in knowing the impact he had on us all. We will never forget him.
