I was so saddened to hear of the death of this wonderful lady - your mother and wife! I worked with Rachael for many years. It was not only the students that appreciated her smile and her positive attitude. I loved seeing her come through the door of our school because I knew that it was going to be a good day: there would certainly be a laugh or two, I would learn something more about how to address students'challenges, and the parents of her students would feel understood and supported.

I also witnessed her administrative strength and leadership at the most difficult of times - the sudden death of one of her students. She was so compassionate, decisive and empathetic in responding to the many needs of her students, staff and community both during that day and in the weeks that followed.

I am so sorry for your loss! I hope that you all find strength in the knowledge that your mom and wife touched so many lives in such a positive way.
