In the fall of 1981, I was taking a trip across Canada with my three sons. We stopped overnight in a gas station (we were car-camping) in Grand Falls, N.B., and the next morning I found the starter had gone out on my car. This was a Sunday morning and I didn't know what to do. I didn't know anyone, until I was "adopted" by Judy and her father. Her father arranged to have a new starter brought by bus to his station (the owner of the parts store went down on a SUNDAY morning to open it just for my need) he then put it on a bus and had it sent to Grand Falls where Judy's father had a mechanic install it in my car.
All this time, my children and I were taken in by Judy and fed and then later (believe it or not!!) they gave a party for us and invited all of their friends. I will never forget it, or all the wonderful people we met in Grand Falls, N.B.
Over the years I've often thought of Judy and just today I went through some old correspondence, and sure enough, there was a letter from Judy dated back in 1985. I don't remember if I ever wrote her back but I hope that I did. I will never forget her - she was a ray of sunshine to both me and my boys.
Rest in peace Judy, and may we meet again in another lifetime - we have a karmic connection that cannot be denied. Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.

So sorry to learn of the sad news of Judy's passing. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to all the family. I fondly remember the friendship that began 46 years ago when I was posted to the Royal Bank before being sent to Montreal and finally ending up in Spain. I looked forward to the visits when back in Canada. Finding out that we had "family" in common made things even more special. She will always be remembered and our times together cherished. My thoughts are with you in these difficult moments! Keep in touch! Warm hugs! Malcolm!
