Hildur was my mentor, friend and big sister all rolled up into one. It was through her I became her sister in Christ. I met Hildur in 1945 and was Heather and Robert's babysitter. She was a very talented lady who could sing and draw. She was kindness, love and a friend who I will miss. I love you and goodbye my dear friend. Say hi to God for me. God bless the family Love Mamie

My family and I were blessed to have Hildur (or Auntie Hildur as we called her) in our lives. She was an exceptional woman who exemplified being a Christian. Her door and arms were always open and she treated everyone with love and respect. I don't think I ever heard her say an unkind word about anyone. And she gave the best hugs -- you felt safe, loved and calm when in her arms. There was a serenity and peacefulness about her. And she had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh which I discovered when I went on an Alaskan cruise with her, George the second and Heather. We had many days and nights of talks, laughs and entered contests as George's Girls. She was up for anything and always enjoyed herself. And ladies camp at church were the best of times bunking with her, Heather and my Mom. Auntie Hildur and I would have the top bunks and have races to see who could climb the fastest. She always won and was in her 80s! The world will be a little emptier without her shining lights and heaven will be a little brighter now that she is there. We loved her and will cherish our memories of her. John, Karen (nee Larsen) and Jessica Belanger
