Dear Family and Friends of Ross: I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Ross and my condolences to his family and to Gaile Smiley (Miss Smith as I call her - maiden name) who was a friend and confidant for the last number of years. When I spoke to Ross over the last number of years, he always wanted to know what the price of gas was in Cookstown. Bare in mind that I live beside the only gasoline station in town. Even though I talked with Ross last Tuesday and I’m sure was not feeling well, he still needed to know what the price of gas was in Cookstown. With his passing and when I look at the price of gas anywhere, I will think of Ross. Ross was a gentlemen, friend and mentor and will be missed by his church family and especially by me. I will be unable to attend the service but my thoughts will be with you as you celebrate this man’s very special life. I wish everyone well as we deal with this loss.
