So sorry to read in the Guardian and learn of Willie's passing. I expect that if it were "normal" non-Covid times, he would have had one of the largest, well-attended wakes in history. Willie knew so many people and all could speak highly of him. He was always so social and conversation came easy to him as he would move from New Glasgow Lobster Supper table to table. And of course, there are so many years of curling. He never seemed to get rattled or feel the pressure of having to make a shot. If it worked out, it worked out. If not, there was always another shot to come or a next end to get it right. Willie was a very well respected man on all fronts. He will be missed. My sympathy and big hugs to the entire family.
