When I first met Olive in the VCLA GED Program, she was determined and strong in her pursuit of her learning goal. Over time, she became a friend and an inspiration to me. Olive was a woman of faith with a steadfast love for her family and friends that could not be broken. Her tenacious spirit was one of her outstanding features. She always seemed hopeful, moving forward into another leg of her journey. I was sure that she had another book to write. Rest in peace, dear Olive. My sincere condolences to all the family.
