I heard of Paul's passing with sadness and nostalgia at losing a compassionate human being and someone I considered a friend. Though not having regular contact with Paul, on the occasions when I met him either at funerals, walking in town or when arranging my own family funeral details, to me Paul was exactly the person described in the newspaper obituary.
