I had the esteemed pleasure and honor of knowing Mark in the time that I had moved to his hometown. Mark and his wife, Kim never failed to make me feel at home and treat me like family whenever I was invited over to their place for dinner/occasions, even when they barely knew me. It is seldom that I meet someone who shares the qualities of being both down to earth and incredibly intelligent, mark had wisdom, experience and knowledge that exceeded many of his peers, it never failed to be a fascinating and uplifting experience to discuss literature and travelling with him while sitting and watching the sun set over the water. The world truly lost a gentleman with his passing and I hope wherever he is, he's having a refreshing beverage and wearing a Raiders hat. R.I.P
