My condolences to the family. It’s not easy to cope with death. We are all prisoners of death. No matter what we do, there is no escape. But Jehovah has the power to release us from death. And he has promised that “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” This is what the Bible calls the resurrection.
