I worked with Bill as a rookie highway patrolman in Harbour Grace, NL, during 1970/71. He was a very good officer and taught me a lot about that business. We had a lot of fun keeping the highways safe - including handing out tons of speeding tickets and arresting lots of impaired drivers! He was the best man at my wedding in 1972. I lost track of him shortly after that as we were both transferred and I never saw or heard from him again. Very sorry to hear of his passing. My career eventually took me to Ottawa where I retired and still live.
