Dear MacLean family. I would like to express my condolences to the family on just learning of the passing of Gwen. She was my mother Catherine’s cousin. My grandmother Caro was the youngest sibling of Dr Byron Burwash. As a young child, my mother was always thrilled when Byron’s family from Saskatchewan would come to visit the family farm in Baltimore Ontario. After Byron’s death, his wife, my Great Aunt Lena moved to Cobourg for awhile and I recall having tea with her on several occasions. Amazingly, Gwen and my mother would exchange Christmas letters up to a few years ago. Warmest regards, Carol

We extend our sincere sympathy to the MacLean family. Gwen was a beautiful lady. It was a joy on Sun morning to speak with her at church.
