We were friends for some sixteen years.We made sculpture together at Liberty Enterprises, quarried marble for the NSCAD sculpture in Cape Briton, worked carpentry as a team and shared stories once a week for about ten years, after I moved to Ontario.He visited once a year until we came to see life differently.We never resolved those differences.I have a small cast aluminum sculpture that he gifted me.....it sits on the hand rail of our motorized raft as a reminder of gentiler times. You should eat a strawberry each day, Joe once said to me.......and I do.
