Hello Sutton Family,

I'm Rick Soyka, Mike Soyka's son. I was reading the Thorold obituaries due to the current pandemic, and I came across Jack's. My father and Jack were good friends, and I remember what an interesting person Jack was, when he would come around when I would come from Calgary to Thorold to visit my family. Jack liked a cold beer and had a great sense of humor, and lots of good stories. I remember explaining the oil business to him at length in my parent's basement. He was very interested in the mechanics of it. I am sorry to hear of Jack's passing. I will celebrate his long life tonight and think myself fortunate to have known him a little.
