Mrs. Jones and I first met in September 1954 at S.S. #7 Scott Public School. She was my teacher for grades 3, 4, 5 and 6. As Mr. Jones drove her to school they passed our farm on the Sandford Sideroad and would pick me up on the way. Because of that I always felt a special bond with my teacher.
Annabell encouraged my music talent and directed me to learn highland dancing. My good penmanship is due to her insistence.
Many of my own teaching qualities were the result of her example.
I have kept in touch with her over the years and we continued to hold a special bond. I will miss her telephone calls and Christmas notes.
I extend my sympathy to her family.
