I was Fred's neighbour for many years. I could always turn to Fred when I needed advice about my car, and Fred knocked on my door when my cat's paw prints were on his car!
Also advice from Fred about working on my house was really appreciated. He would respond immediately and help.
I was sitting on my porch and heard the sound when Fred fell off his roof on a blistering summer day.
I walked over for a chat when Fred was sitting out when he got home from his open heart surgery. What a fighter. That was the only time I saw Fred a little down.
I always felt a little safer living on our wonderful street with Fred right
there. He was a salt of the earth good man.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Although I can only image how truly difficult this time must be, I would like to offer Jean, and the Knowles family, my most sincere condolences.

Fred was my neighbour for over 35 years and I couldn't have wished for a better one. One of my fondest memories is of Fred stopping his car for a roadside chat. He always had a smile on his face (and Jean at his side) as he rolled down his window to catch up on the latest neighbourhood news. It won't be the same here without him.

Jean, please know my thoughts are with you.
