I worked with Blair at the West Island Palliative Care Residence when he started working there in 2014, a year after Pauline was a patient at the Residence. No job was too small or too large. He undertook whatever needed doing. I don't know how many rooms and halls and offices and bathrooms he cleaned but it numbered in the hundreds if not thousands. All of this was done with a will as evidenced by his smile and his ever-present humorous quips.
Many young people worked in maintenance with Blair and their admiration for him was boundless, as was his respect and friendship with them. He made friends wherever he went at the Residence.
On a personal note, I had an accident at the end of 2016. Rare was the week when Blair failed to visit me in the hospital and later, at home. I will miss my friend.
