I will miss Tom. We were destined to have our paths crossed for over 50 years, first at a highschool in Kingston where his artistic skills manifested themselves in caricatures of whomever struck his fancy. Who knew when the next laugh was to come. No meaness at all. He taught us to laugh at ourselves. Much later in life he appled himself to landscape painting and sold his work commercially.
Upon graduation from Queen's, Tom prepared himself for a life in the area of social work through his Master's Degree. For decades he gained respectin the profession and the appreciation of hundreds who benefited from his guidance.
Personally, I remember most his sense of humour. I do not recall once when we met and he didn't have a few jokes prepared, often at my expense. I gave as much as I received. No hard feelings. This is the stuff that friendship is made of.
