I first met Alex in 1979 when he and I participated in a two-man show at the Sable-Castelli Gallery. I have followed his work, from a distance, since then. Alex's late landscapes were imbued with an electricity only matched by the landscapes of Van Gogh. He will be missed. My condolences to Lorna and family.
