I have been to many services in my time, but i think this one that i feel was about the person (Basil) that was mostly on him and his life history. some use the bible to go mostly through the bible. not that i have anything against the beautiful words of god. i feel the funeral should be about the person who passed and learn of his life and the great things they did. the ministers did a wonderful job in displaying the great man and how he served the church, fire dept. and community. this is what it`s about. the person. i was so pleased of the many good deeds he did for the community, like i told joan & the family new ross will never be the same without Basil. our family went to school from primary and on. my two brothers laurie, now passed, bill, sister donna and me. we my husband many great timed at the dances and house parties. we havve a lot of great memories we will dearly treasure. thans for your time for allowing me to air my views. thank yoy Sheila (myra) Barkhouse..s. i am so happy theat rev. judi was fine from her fall. brave women walked out of the church. keep well rev. judi love and prayers for you. this isour church that wemy family was baptized, confirmed and went to sunday school.
