I am so sorry to hear about Pauline's passing. Pauline, her parents Uncle Fred and Auntie Diana, and her brothers and sisters lived along the same road on a farm near to where my family lived. My sister Hazel played a lot with Pauline and her sister Kay and they went to school together. I spent more time with Pauline's younger sisters, Diana and Evelyn. During those early years, we were all so excited about the going to picnics with all our many Swetleshnoff cousins at Devil's Lake.

When our Mom and I moved to Canora, Pauline and John lived just across the lane from our house and I'd often visit with Pauline when David was a baby.
One of my memories of Pauline was her and her Mom baking umpteen pies for Evelyn's wedding! And I believe that Pauline had helped by sewing bridesmaid dresses too!

After we had moved from Saskatchewan, there was a big family reunion in Veregin in 1987, where Pauline surprised us with a Swetleshnoff Family History on which she had done a lot of research. She kept this 5-generation history up to date right up until two years ago - without the use of a computer. For this alone, I would give her a big hug now if I could. She was an amazing historian, a wonderful wife and a proud but busy mother and grandmother, and a very dear big cousin. Although we lived far apart as adults, Hazel and I were really lucky to see her and John and family numerous few times, the last of which was in 2012 in Canora, when they made a special trip from Saskatoon to be with us. I will really miss Pauline. Condolences to all the family.
Love cousin Pat (Paulette) Kirkwood
