November 19, 1968 - March 22, 2026 (57 years and 4 months)
Gatineau, QC

It is with deep sadness, yet also with great love, that we announce the passing of Michel Drolet, who suddenly left us on March 22, 2026, while he was visiting the Great Wall of China with his lifelong companion, Claudie.
Born on November 19, 1968, in Quebec City (Vanier), Michel is remembered by his wife Claudie Côté and their children: Rosemarie (Marc Brazeau Vezeau), William, Marguerite (Vincent Boogaart), and Elliot Drolet.
He is also survived by his mother, Lucille Bédard, and his sisters, Raymonde and Diane Drolet.
Michel was a quiet man, the kind who could walk into a room unnoticed, yet whose steady presence always ended up warming hearts. He had a subtle, sometimes surprising sense of humor that always came at just the right moment, like a wink that lightened the mood.
He loved the outdoors, traveling, and meals with family and friends. An upright, honest, and deeply loyal man, Michel was a pillar of strength for his loved ones. He didn't need grand gestures to show his love: his consistency and reliability spoke for themselves. He will be remembered as a rock, someone you could always count on.
A celebration of his life will be held on May 2 at 2 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.) at Le Sentier church, located at 770 boulevard Gréber in Gatineau.
Here is the link to watch the livestream of the celebration.
Please note that parts of the ceremony will be in English and others in French.
There will be no simultaneous translation during the live event; however, a recorded version will be available afterward, and you'll have the option to enable YouTube subtitles in the language of your choice.
The family requests those who wish to express sympathy to consider making a donation In Memoriam to the Outaouais Health Foundation.
From the bottom of our hearts, we thank everyone who is surrounding us with love and support during this difficult time. Your presence and your thoughts mean so much to us.
