Gail Susanne Dean (nee Gilchrist) passed away after a long battle with complications from diabetes. She faced these challenges with courage and strength and is now at peace.

She leaves behind her husband Gary, who was by her side for 55 years.

Gail made her family the centrepiece of her life. Always one to want to cook or bake for family get-togethers, there was never a shortage of good food at any family gathering. Known for her love of animals (there were so many animals it will be hard to list them all here) and her inability to say no to any animal in need, she had a constant menagerie of creatures around her all her life, and she loved them all.

In the last years of her life, she needed some extra help and was looked after by her daughter Kristi and her husband Jim, and their children Regan, Stella, Emma & Raphaëlle.

We don't think she ever forgave her son Todd for moving to Calgary but still loved him nonetheless along with Renata, Matt & Alex.

She had many friends throughout her life and cherished them all. There were many fun evenings and weekend get-togethers that made for a good life. 

We wish to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Hull Hospital who worked tirelessly to make moms last days as comfortable as possible.
